Your journey to wellbeing
Discover what counselling with Lifelong Condition Counselling entails, from the first step to finding your path forward. We're here to support you in a safe and understanding space.

Your counselling experience, step by step
From the moment we begin, my aim is for you to feel welcomed, safe, and accepted. Whether your session is online, by telephone, or in person, we will start by checking in and discussing how you have been since we last met or, if it is your first session, what has brought you to counselling.
The sessions are led by you. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you feel ready, and you are free to explore whatever feels most important in that moment. You may wish to discuss your thoughts, emotions, relationships, a recent diagnosis, the impact of a long-term health condition, trauma, or another challenge you are facing. Whatever you bring, you will be met with empathy, respect, and without judgement.
My approach is primarily person-centred, meaning I believe you are the expert in your own life. Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, I will listen carefully, help you make sense of your experiences, gently explore patterns and perspectives with you, and support you in finding your own way forward.

You deserve to feel heard
The most important thing we want you to know about counselling with us is that everyone deserves to feel heard. We are dedicated to providing a safe and confidential space where you can share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. Our goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and ready to start your journey towards healing and understanding.
Your comfort and readiness are paramount. We believe that feeling truly heard is the foundation of effective counselling, allowing you to openly explore your experiences and discover your inner resources.

Understanding the counselling process
While counselling is a unique journey for everyone, it is helpful to be aware of some general stages. For certain experiences, such as trauma, the process may require more extensive engagement. Six sessions are often just scratching the surface and can potentially open up many areas for exploration.
We are committed to providing the time and space you need to work through your experiences thoroughly and effectively. The duration and frequency of sessions will always be discussed and agreed upon with you, ensuring a pace that feels right and supports your healing.
"The support I received made such a difference during a challenging time. I felt truly understood and empowered to move forward."
